Game of Thrones Season 6 Episode 9: " Battle Of The Bastard " [Preview]

We’re just two episodes away from the conclusion of this year’s Game of Thrones season 6, and a first trailer for episode 9 is already available, teasing what looks like the massive war that we’ve been aching for.

The penultimate episode looks a lot more dire though, as Jon takes the battle to Ramsay and attempts to reclaim Winterfell. But with Ramsay on the defensive with a much larger army than Jon, does the ex-Lord Commander stand a chance? After Jaime gave Brienne his word that the Tullys will be released unharmed in Game of Thrones Season 6: Episode 8, could the Tullys ride forth to aid the Starks? There's not been a plot synopsis for the episode released yet, but the trailer itself is very telling. Check out the preview for Episode 9 "The Battle of Bastards" below!

As the trailer opens Jon narrates: "Battles have been won against greater odds. I've fought beyond the wall against worse than Ramsay Bolton." Jon's clearly underestimating Ramsay! Away from the battle, there's a shot of Davos standing by what looks like a pyre, looking very perturbed.

Has he discovered that Shireen was sacrificed by Stannis and Melisandre? And how will this affect his morale going into the battle against Ramsay? Davos is one of our favorite characters on the show, and we'd hate to see him die! Most interesting though, is Jon's request to Melisandre not to resurrect him if he dies.

There's a real sense of risk going into this battle, though we wouldn't be surprised if Jon was resurrected against his express command. While we have a feeling that Jon will emerge victorious, something tells us that it won't be for long.
