Game Of Thrones Season 6 Episode 4: ‘The Book Of The Stranger’ [Recap]

Last week’s episode of Game of Thrones teased that we could see a to of reunions in this week’s show and did that every pay off.

The recent episodes of the Game of thrones entitled “Book of the strangers” was indeed a song of ice and fire.In the North,Jon Snow faced the cold reality of what he must do to take her back to the North, while in Essos, among the Dothraki Daenerys Targaryen again has the flames of righteousness at her back.

We sort of knew this one might be happening, Show begins got the stark reunion out of the way in the ten minutes it show was a proof that biggest things were going happen. It the reunion of Stark siblings, which is something we’ve hoping would happen for this season.Since the Red Wedding, things have been a little rough for the family of the North and it clear that trhey have some serious to work to do in order to regain their leadership.

Sansa is already bloodthirsty as all hell to bump off Ramsay and reclaim Winterfell. Jon is gets what the bigger picture is, given all he knows at The Wall, but Winterfell needs the Starks and it sounds like we could be heading towards a cathartic end of Ramsay Bolton.

While Petyr has seemingly been out of action for a while now, he was thrust right back into the thick of things by trying to build up allegiances that will help him combat Ramsay and the Bolton’s. It’s not going to be easy keeping all of the plates spinning that Petyr has used to get to where he’s at, but it sounds like he has at least one more trick up his sleeve before someone figures out he’s been playing all of the sides against each other for his own benefit.

Granted, we all want to see Ramsay meet an epic end, so if that means have Petyr re-work his way back into things, then so be it. He’ll get his eventually and for now he’s proving to be as useful as he usually is.

After returning last week with Rickon, some thought that we might see a little more of Osha before she met her demise. But the show wasted no time in making her another one of Ramsay’s victims — this time by way of a knife to the jugular.

While Daenerys has been off trying to find her way back to Meereen,Tyrion has been shifting between just sitting there saying pithy things and actually doing some governing. It feels like he more often than not accidentally does some governing but we know he’s smarter than that and know that he’s setting something up.

We saw that tonight, when Tyrion brokered a deal in a way that not only showed us that he actually is going to do something this season other than sit around for comic relief, but proved once again that he’s the right guy to have by Dany’s side. When she eventually gets back to Meereen, the work will already be in place for her to rise and try to take on King’s Landing. That’s all thanks to Tyrion, who continues to be the best odd couple match we’ve seen paired up with another main character on the show.

The episode ended with Daenerys, Mother of Dragons killing her Dothraki captors and then winning over the surviving members by being reborn in the flames in which she used in the massacre. But before this even happened, we finally saw the reunion with Jorah and Daario that we’ve known is coming but didn’t know when it would happen.

Now that Jorah, Daario and Dany are all back together again, they can finally get back to Meereen and make Tyrion’s story make more sense as well. There was a lot of plodding involved with this plot, but now that Dany is back and literally on fire, things are going to heat up — oh yeah, all the pun intended — across the sea.
